We are thrilled to share exciting news. The Pope Memorial Library has been awarded The Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) Rural Library Grant. Our sincere thanks to the Foundation for making this grant possible to rural libraries like ours. CLiF encourages collaboration between public libraries and elementary schools. Our Youth Services Librarian, Marilyn McDowell, has worked throughout the year forging such a collaboration with the Danville School. This grant will not only benefit the library, but the school, as well. It will provide for shared programming, increased materials for our collections and free books for kids. The library will receive early literacy kits for children, ages 0-5 and their families and more ! Thank you Marilyn for writing and submitting the application.
